TJP-PACKSHOT

Post-punk/alt rock meets House Music for an angst ridden trip across the dance floor. The Japanese Popstars or, ‘The Jappy Pops’ as they are known in their native Derry Northern Ireland, consist of Declan McLaughlin aka Decky Hedrock, Gary Curran, and Gareth Donoghue. They’ve won a box set full of awards in Europe and Ireland and were awarded "No.1 Dance Album" by Hotpress magazine and even have their own Nike shoe dubbed the Japstar01.

They are joined on this EP by The Cure’s singer/guitarist Robert Smith who lends his lush guitar and gloomy vocals to the many remixes of Take Forever to nice effect.

“Take Forever”

The remixes are by The Deadstock 33s, Raw Man, Lee Curtiss, Attaque plus a version from Robert Smith himself, the RS@Home mix. Take Forever is a cut off the  bands second album,Controlling Your Allegiance which already has produced one hit, “Let Go” , check out the video before and you’ll get a taste of what makes these guys a hit on the club scene:
